New Moon Report
for April 24th, 2009
Tonight’s New Moon at 5 degrees of
Taurus is in the 4th house for the chart of the moment. A New Moon in
Taurus is wonderful, and, if we used the energy of Aries - just past - to
get things started, it can be even better. During the day Friday. there is
not much of a chance to get anything new started. It is the dark of the
Moon, her
final phase before the New Moon; we
should let things ride just as they are for the day. The New Moon is late
at night (11:23 pm), so finish up any
old projects during the day. The night before the New Moon, do a ritual or
meditation to release what no longer serves you well. It is best not to
start anything new 'til after the New Moon. Once she is New, do a ritual
or meditation to bring in what you want to manifest over the next two
weeks.
Now what does this New Moon in Taurus
tell us? It rules our self-esteem and the things we value - art, great
clothes, nice furniture, good food,
you get the picture. It is also springtime and shows us, through Mother
Nature, how we, too, can be abundant in our lives. This is the time of
year to re-group creatively and financially
to better serve our own needs and the
needs of others.
This New Moon in the 4th house rules
our home, our past (karma), real-estate, and also our emotions.
With all this Taurus energy in the
4th house, we should focus on are stabilizing our homes and
making them more comfortable and
beautiful.
If your home has had you in a
financial bind lately, this New Moon is here to help you get back some
control.
You can start by reviewing your
financial statement. Then get to the bank to see if they can help you
re-do the numbers. There is nothing more powerful than knowing where you
stand financially (instead of having your head in
the sand). Taurus energy can be
stubborn at times, so, if you have been putting this off, now is the time
to act.
Just make sure you have your ducks
all in a row before you approach the banker. Between now and May 4th is a
good time to sell or to list property. Pay attention to the dates, as
Mercury goes retrograde on May 7th.
Listing after that will take extra
effort.
Those of us not selling our houses
can use this Taurus energy to beautify our homes.
Get outside and clean the yard after the hard winter; get the garden ready for
planting.
If you are in warmer climate than we
are here in NH, you may already be able to
plant.
Plant something no matter what it is.
Earth Day was this past week - a
perfect time to plant a tree.
Or, instead of property or
real-estate, your focus may be on family members. Taurus is fixed energy
and wants stability, sometimes to a fault. Taurus is not fond of sudden
changes. When they need to be made, it is not
always easy. But change may need to
happen, so let it! Do not resist a change that needs to take place.
This may be especially true if you
are a Taurus. You can handle anything, if change comes your way
this month, by being practical and
creative.
The New Moon also makes a trine
aspect to Pluto in the first house. While this is assertive energy, you
can also see where compromise may be needed. This again is good news - we
have what we need presented to us, so we can feel in control. The energy
is there to apply ourselves to the job at hand. We can make it happen,
whatever it is.
This New Moon also makes a number of Quintile
aspects: to Jupiter, Neptune, and Chiron. These give us the assertiveness
needed to break free of old restraints, (which are usually self-imposed,
since Taurus rules self-esteem). This New Moon can be one that gets many
of us out of our ruts. I can also see this time as a good shot in the arm
for the real-estate market overall. Whether listing, selling, or
re-financing a home, this New Moon will be
helpful. Notice:
